Trustees, Vice-President and Honorary Treasurer – Nominations Invited

Good governance needs well informed and active trustees. CILIPS invites nominations from members for the following positions.

Trustees 
CILIPS is seeking nominations for 3 places on the Trustee Board to serve from 1st January 2018 – 31 December 2020. The Trustee Board meets up to 6 times a year and determines CILIPS strategy and policy as well as benchmarking progress against the annually agreed business plan.

Prospective candidates must be members of CILIPS and willing to commit to trustee duties as prescribed by the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR). Nominations can be submitted electronically or by post and should be signed by the nominee and countersigned by two members of CILIPS. All trustees are offered training for their role.

Nominations open on 18th September and close on 20th October.  In the event of oversubscription elections will be held with the result known by November 24th.

Trustee Role Description

Vice President
CILIPS is seeking nominations for the position of Vice-President to serve from 1st January 2018.  Candidates serve for three years firstly as Vice President and then President in Year Two. The Vice President is an ex-officio member of the Board but does not serve as a Trustee.

Prospective candidates must be members of CILIPS. Nominations can be submitted electronically or by post and should be signed by the nominee and countersigned by two members of CILIPS.

Nominations open on 18th September and close on 20th October. In the event of more than one nomination an election will be held during October with the result being known by 24th November.

Vice-President Role Description

Treasurer

CILIPS is seeking nominations for the position of Treasurer to serve from 1st January 2018.  The Treasurer serves from two years and is a Trustee (Trustee training is mandatory and arranged by CILIPS for all new trustees).

Prospective candidates must be members of CILIPS and willing to commit to trustee duties as prescribed by the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR). Nomination forms can be submitted electronically or by post and should be signed by the nominee and countersigned by two members of CILIPS. All trustees are offered training for their role.
