School Library Advocacy Group

The School Library Advocacy Group was a Task and Finish Group of the CILIPS Trustee Board from 2012-2016 set up to help respond to the growing number of cuts to school librarians. The group is now independent from CILIPS and will continue to meet regularly under a new name from 2017 onwards and CILIPS will attend these meetings. Please e mail for more details.

During it’s time as a CILIPS Task and Finish Group, the collective produced an advocacy strategy (you can view this on the right hand side), campaigned for school libraries and librarians and developed a strand at the CILIPS Autumn Gathering.
