Getting the Right Information Every Time

Jan 26 2018

A national event to celebrate achievements and further develop the role of library and information services in health and wellbeing, on 26th January 2018. Details of the programme and venue are attached.

The event aims to strengthen strategic collaboration across information services in NHS, public libraries, and the third sector, focusing particularly on their contribution to self-management and shared decision-making. The Minister for Public Health, Ms Aileen Campbell, MSP and the Deputy Chief Medical Officer will both be speaking at the event, giving policy level recognition to the potential of library and information services in health and wellbeing.

This is a unique opportunity to learn about the innovative work across library and information sectors, to identify new opportunities for collaboration, and to maximise the impact of library and information services. The event will showcase a wide range of national and local cross-sectoral library and information initiatives – including speakers from the ALLIANCE, NHS inform, Macmillan, public and NHS libraries.

To register to attend, please complete the booking form at by Monday the 18th December. Places are limited and may be restricted due to demand.

I hope this event will be of interest to you. If you would like to learn more about it, please contact ann.wales@gov.scot or Jane.Milne@midlothian.gov.uk
