Reply from Councillor Allan Wright - Leader of the Moray Council

We received this reply from Allan Wright, Council Leader of the Moray Council last week. A part of the response has been removed at the request of Councillor Wright:

I have your recent 'open letter' protesting about library closures in Moray. I note all you say which is what I would expect from a body representing librarians and I would simply emphasise that our council, like many in Scotland, is facing unprecedented financial pressures and that I do believe that we have mitigated the issues raised by the equalities impact assessment and that we are retaining a libraries network that I believe can serve the communities of Moray.

Yours sincerely

Allan Wright
Council Leader
The Moray Council
