#Library5 2020

#Library5 is our annual social media campaign for Libraries Week, designed to showcase the wide variety of brilliant services that libraries have on offer.

We set a daily theme from Monday-Friday during Libraries Week which this year runs from 5th-10th October. We want you to get involved by sharing news and/or pictures relevant to each theme. Most of the themes tie into the overall focus of Libraries Week which is ‘Your Passport to Reading‘.

You can interpret the themes in any way and share anything you want to. We’d love to see libraries of all kinds getting involved, from public and school libraries to academic and Further Education libraries to health and special libraries.

This year’s themes are:

  • Day one: Reading #Reading
  • Day two: Services for young people #YoungPeople
  • Day three: The library online #DigitalLibrary
  • Day four: Reading Champions #ReadingChampions
  • Daye five: All things ‘library’ #YourLibrary

What do these themes mean to you? Tweet us @CILIPScotland and tag us on Instagram @cilip_scotland. Remember to use the daily hashtag and #LibrariesWeek and we’ll share your posts. You can also tag @LibrariesWeek. We really want to create a great buzz around libraries on social media and help you promote your library and its services. After the week is over, we’ll collate posts from the week on our website to create a great source of advocacy material.
