Join us and Stephen Wyber for another CILIPS Online Learning session focusing on doing library advocacy.

Date: 22nd May 2020, 11am-12noon

Location: Online via Zoom

About the session: The ability of libraries to fulfil their missions depends so much on the choices made by governments, funders, and others. To guarantee the best possible future, we need to shape these decisions! A key part of IFLA’s work is both to work internationally to promote laws, recommendations and research that favour the work of libraries, and to build the ability of librarians and library associations to do the same nationally and locally. This webinar will share more about why advocacy matters, what IFLA is doing, and welcomes comments and suggestions on what more IFLA can do.

This session will be run by Stephen Wyber. Stephen is Manager, Policy and Advocacy at IFLA, where he leads on efforts both to build support for libraries in international fora and to help others do the same.
