Coronavirus (COVID-19) and CILIPS events

Category: News

As part of our duty of care to anyone planning to attend any of our events we are monitoring and following advice from the Scottish Government and NHS on steps to take during the continuing outbreak of Coronavirus.

Should any events require to be cancelled we will first endeavour to re-schedule for a date later in the year as well as offer the option of a refund if the new date is not suitable for delegates. Should an event be cancelled completely then full refunds will be given where fees have been paid.

The CILIPS Annual Conference which was due to take place on June 1st and 2nd will no longer go ahead. However, we have managed to reschedule this and it will now run on October 26th and 27th. Anybody who had booked for the original dates will automatically have their booking transferred but if you are now unable to attend then please get in touch with us ASAP and we will be happy to provide you with a refund or cancel any outstanding invoice. We are still taking bookings for the new October dates so if you are planning to attend then please go ahead and book your place.

Please note, the Portfolio Building workshop that was due to take place on 18th March was cancelled and has been rescheduled for 28th October. Anybody who was registered to attend in March will have been notified and will have their booking transferred. This event is fully book but you can email admin@cilips.org.uk if you would like to be added to the waiting list. The Mentor Training due to take place in Apri has been cancelled and will be rescheduled. We will update our events pages should the situation change with other events.

For anyone attending a CILIPS event we ask that you adhere to NHS advice including:

  • avoiding direct hand contact with your eyes, nose and mouth
  • maintaining good hand hygiene
  • avoiding direct contact with people that have a respiratory illness and avoiding using their personal items such as their mobile phone
  • covering your nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing with disposable tissues and disposing of them in the nearest waste bin after use
