Election Results Confirmed

Following the recent nominations process and election we are pleased to announce that the following people will join our Board:

Vice-President: Yvonne Manning, Principal Librarian at Falkirk Council and Chair of the School Libraries Alliance (Yvonne will be Vice-President in 2018 and President in 2019)

Honorary Treasurer: Richard Aird, Head of Customer Service at University of Stirling (serving for 2 years from 1st December)

The following four Trustees have been elected to our Board and will serve for 3 years from 1st January:

Anne Louise Anglim – Prinicipal Librarian at Glasgow Life

Jérémie Fernandes – School librarian for Moray Council

Carole Gray – Library and Learning Centre Manager at New College Lanarkshire

Christine Love-Rodgers – Academic Liaison Librarian at University of Edinburgh

We look forward to working with all our new office holders and Trustees.

Theresa Breslin, Craig Green and Jane Sandell are standing down from the Board as of the 31st December. CILIPS would like to thank all of them for their hard work and committment to the governance of the organisation.

We also would like to thank Liz McGettigan for her excellent work during her Presidential year including hosting a sold out Annual Conference and the establishment of the inaugral Scotland’s Library and Information Professional of the Year award.

CILIPS also thanks Audrey Walker, who is standing down as Honorary Treasurer as of today (December 1st). Audrey has provided 27 years of outstanding service to CILIPS, both as a Council member, Board member and CILIPS representative to CILIP Council.
