Category: News

Building on the success of last year’s CILIPS webinar with Fast Forward’s Gambling Education Hub, our trainer and Gambling Education Officer Donna Brunton is visiting Inverness Library to host two in-person sessions on Gambling Harms and Links to Gaming for Practitioners.

The training will run twice, in two different time slots, on Wednesday 7th May: 10am-12pm and 2-4pm.

The Gambling Education Hub is Scotland’s national gambling education and prevention programme, supporting organisations that work with young people and families in a range of education settings. They provide practitioners with free training, resources and support to address gambling harms, ensuring that every young person in Scotland has access to effective gambling education and prevention services.

Gambling is a public health issue; however it is often hidden, with consequences that negatively impact the resources, relationships and health of the individual and their communities. Given the links between gambling and debt, unemployment and mental health issues, family breakdowns, this training is relevant to everyone.

Donna and her team are also happy to design and deliver tailored sessions on Gambling Harms for practitioners or workshops for parents and carers in your community – please get in touch via Donna@fastforward.org.uk to find out more.
