Category: News

Following the recent nominations process CILIPS is delighted to announce a new Vice-President and 2 Trustees are joining the Board from January.

The new Vice-President, who will then become President in 2022, is Amina Shah. Amina is Assistant Director, User Services and Engagement for the University of St Andrews. She joined the University in August 2018 and was previously Director of Programme at Scottish Book Trust and is a former CEO of the Scottish Library and Information Council.

Amina will follow the incoming President Cleo Jones. Cleo, who is a senior Library Manager of Edinburgh Libraries with a background in Schools and Children’s Libraries, will be in the role during 2021, including leading the next Conference in June.

Also joining the Board are Trustees are Toni Velikova, Assistant Librarian at the Scottish Poetry Library and Colin Sinclair, Library Collections Manager, University of Stirling Library.

Also, re-elected for 3 years were Jérémie Fernandes and Christine Love-Rodgers. We look forward to working with all our continuing and new additions to the Board.

Stepping down from the Board are Anne Louise Anglim, Carole Gray and Past-President Yvonne Manning. All three have been an incredible support of CILIPS work for many years and we thank them for everything they have done in their time on Board.
