PMLG – Could you be the Scotland representative?

The recently established (and very active) online Public and Mobile Libraries Group (PMLG) community is where PMLG members can connect with others in the community, share ideas and discuss topics affecting your work and profession. Click here to find out more about the online forum and join!
The committee that runs this community currently has no representatives from Scotland and they are keen to hear from people who might be interested. They usually meet once a month and the aims of the group are as follows:
- Having an informal online platform for PMLG members to discuss topics/issues arising in public and mobile libraries
- A place where we can have a strong base to refer back to when the profession is challenged eg. On topics such as censorship, LGBTQ collections etc
- A place where members can lead and encourage progression in areas where libraries are doing great work eg. Green Libraries, Reading For Pleasure/National Year of Reading, combatting misinformation and helping in the cost of living crisis etc
- A group that encourages learning and development by providing talks on different topic areas and CPD opportunities.
