Retiral of CILIPS Director

CILIPS Director, Catherine Kearney, is to retire from her post on 27th July. Cathy, who has worked with CILIPS for the past 15 years, said “It has been an honour and a privilege to serve the membership in Scotland and I look forward to following the future progress of the organisation as a CILIPS friend and supporter.”

Trustee Board Chair, Duncan Wright added, “I wish Cathy a very happy and successful retirement. In her role as Director of CILIPS she has been a strong advocate for libraries and librarianship in Scotland and has offered colleagues across sectors valuable advice and support. In my role as a trustee board member and as Chair of the CILIP in Scotland Trustee Board I have experienced first hand this advice and support and it has been invaluable to me.”

Sean McNamara will take up the role of Acting Director until the end of the year.
