SLIC Innovation and Development Fund now open

The Scottish Library and Information Council (SLIC) has recently announced that a new round of the Innovation and Development Fund (IDF) is now open for 2021.

For any library that does not benefit from the Public or School Library Improvements Funds, PLIF and SLIF, the fund supports library projects throughout Scotland which link to SLIC’s strategic objectives.

The IDF is an opportunity to gain financial support for any projects or activities that encourage creative service delivery and development. This could be around the creation of new resources, undertaking research, or developing staff through training. To gain an understanding of the sort of work that might successfully gain funding, you can read about previous projects which were supported by the IDF here.

Applications opened on Monday 16th November 2020 and closed on Friday 5th February 2021.
