Submissions Open for CILIPS Events and #CILIPS26 Conference Sessions!
It’s not even 2026 yet, but the CILIPS team and 2026 President Shelagh Toonen, are already setting our sights on #CILIPS26, the largest gathering of library and information professionals in Scotland! After an initial planning meeting, with next year’s theme and keynote speakers in the works, we are delighted to welcome submissions from members who are interested in presenting a parallel session at the event.
The 30-40 minute sessions will be held at the Dundee Apex Hotel on the 1st & 2nd of June 2026, and we want to hear all about best practice, case studies, research or anything you think the library and information sector in Scotland should hear about. We welcome engaging and interactive sessions of all kinds and would love to work with you to make your vision for your session come true!
The closing date for submissions is Wednesday 31st December 2025, please click here to access the form.
If you need some inspiration, or want to see some of the inspiring sessions from previous conferences, please visit our YouTube Playlist by clicking here for #CILIPS24 and here for #CILIPS25.
The submission form also welcomes applications for our online learning programme throughout 2026 – so if you have an idea for a topic and would like to float it past us then please fill in the same form here. The form will remain open throughout 2026.
In 2025 we had sessions ranging from Autism awareness, Libraries as spaces of welcome and inclusion for asylum seekers and refugees, Knowledge management 101 and of course a whole host of professional registration events.
If you have any questions about what this involves then please don’t hesitate to reach out to the team at admin@cilips.org.uk and we’ll be happy to talk you through it or answer any questions! Best of luck and thank you for your continued support!
