ARLGS Free Place at Building Collaborative Collections Conference

SCURL is delighted to offer a free place to a member of the Academic and Research Libraries Group Scotland (ARLGS) at the upcoming Building Collaborative Collections Conference.

The event takes place on Friday 27th March 2020 at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, and will focus on the strategic value of the collections of the Scottish university and research library community. The programme features contributions from leading experts and practitioners from across the UK, including:

Joseph Marshall, Associate Director of Collections Management, National Library of Scotland
Reaching People: the new National Library of Scotland strategy and what it means for Collections       

Neil Grindley, Head of Resource Discovery, Jisc
Using the NBK for Data-driven Collection Building: Opportunities and Challenges

The event will also showcase innovative projects from academic and research libraries across Scotland.

To apply for the free place, ARLGS members are invited to tell us in the length of a Tweet (280 characters max) how attending the event will support their professional development. Submissions should be sent to arlgs.events@gmail.com by Monday 9th March 2020. Entries will be reviewed by the ARLGS Committee and the successful candidate will be notified by Friday 13th March 2020. Please note that this free place does not include travel costs.
