Aye Write have launched another exciting programme for this year and we are delighted to be able to offer 20 free tickets for Emma Smith chaired by Val McDermid – Portable Magic: A History of Books and their Readers. This event will take place on the 20th May from 12:45-1:45pm at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.
Dubbed the ‘Queen of Crime,’ Val McDermid will be in conversation with fellow author Emma Smith. Exploring what our relationship with books can unravel about aspects of our own lived experience. Inspired by Smith’s new novel which is chronicled as, “A history of one of humankind’s most resilient and influential technologies over the past millennium—the book.”
