Scottish Book Trust have announced an exciting development in their training programme with the launch of a new series of early years webinars. The series contains 5 webinars over the course of this year, and they can be watched live or as a recorded version.

This new webinar series is aimed at anyone involved or interested in the early years who is looking to learn, challenge themselves, and improve their practice, although anyone is welcome to attend including parents and carers with an interest in the subject.

The webinars are live with the chance to chat to fellow practitioners and ask questions to the speakers, they will be recorded and ticket holders will be sent a private link to the recorded session. Find pricing and discount information here.

Our webinars each have a leading expert in their field including:

  • BAFTA award winning children’s composers Joss Peach and Ellie Wyatt, who will look at the many ways we can engage with children through music and sound.
  • Professor Sam Wass, who leads the BabyDev Lab at the University of East London, presents the neuroscience of why child-led interactions help develop concentration more than adult-led interactions and discusses how to integrate these ideas into a child-led reading practice with babies and young toddlers.
  • Dr Suzanne Zeedyk, a developmental psychologist and research scientist fascinated by babies’ innate capacity to connect. She believes that everyone deserves to share in the discoveries that scientists are making about the importance of relationships.
